RMCC volunteers are already hard at work making initial preparations for this summer's 2010 Canadian Mountain Bike (XC) Championships which will be held in Canmore in July.

The event will run July 15th through 18th at the Nordic Centre and will feature Canada's top Olympic and World Cup mountain bike racers competing for national honours as well as over 500 competitors in citizen race categories. In addition to the national championship races the 4-day event will include a Thursday evening short-track "clash for cash" race starting and finishing on Main Street and a community recreational ride on Friday, July 16th.

Kid's will get their chance to compete in the "Little Ziggy" event prior to the elite race on a course of their own.
