2009 RMCC Annual General Meeting (…and Dinner!) November 29, 2009 Calling all Rundle Mountain Cycling Club (RMCC) members in good-standing: You are invited to the 2009 Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Canmore, Alberta. The meeting is to be held Sunday Nov. 29th at The Pizza Construction Co. Restaurant, 7:00pm onwards. This AGM meeting is open to all club members, so we encourage you to come out! Not only do you get to hear reports about how the club operated this year, but you can also help make decisions on club activities for the coming years… again, did we not mention that you will be fed at the RMCC AGM? Please, it is important for our members to be directly involved in RMCC. We rely on each other because RMCC is a volunteer-run organization! Come out and help us pick our new Executive positions and plan for more great cycling-related activities in 2010. Amendments to the Agenda may not be allowed on the date of the AGM. Rundle Mountain Cycling Club (RMCC) Executive and Leadership positions open for nomination, fall 2009. 1) Trails/Nordic Centre Liaison This is a newly proposed position for Rundle Mountain Cycling Club. The responsible individual will represent the interests of RMCC members to the Canmore Nordic Centre. Kananaskis Country, the Bow Valley Mountain Bike Alliance, and the Town of Canmore as it relates to facilities, trails, bike parks and other infrastructure. This position does not hold privilege on the Executive Board. No nominees thus far. 2) Program Director The individual is responsible for ensuring the continued development and relevancy of RMCC's junior programs as they relate to a Long Term Athlete Development model. Supports, recruits and oversees the club coach(es), ensures the programs are appropriate, and leads the Progamming Committee. Nominee: Andrea Quinlan
3) President The individual oversees and provides vision for the entire club. The President is responsible for making sure the right people are in the right places, that they are fulfilling their responsibilities and are staying within the vision and mandate of the club. The President has signing authority and is responsible, with the Treasurer and the rest of the Board, for ensuring that the club remains financially viable as a non-profit society. The President maintains a productive relationship with the Alberta Bicycle Association and the cycling community. Nominee: Jeff Perron |
